About me:

I’m Kat, a queer multidisciplinary artist and photographer with a Certificate of Photography from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. I’m currently building my portfolio and experimenting with different mediums to see what resonates. I have a fascination with the cycles of life and death, and all things vintage and antique (hence the brand name). I love the outdoors and reading, and when I’m not making art, my preferred pastime is camping with a good book.

I found photography in high school and was captivated by it ever since. I started selling my photography services in 2021 with my first paid project: the industrial building Rosen. From then on I’ve been building my business (and rebranded a couple times) into what it is today.

My art and photography are naturally embedded with my unique style and view of the world. I put my very soul into everything I create. I aspire for my art to create deep emotions and complex thinking from its viewers. I work with clients to bring their vision to life while staying true to my artistic vision. I also sell prints in multiple sizes in case you fall in love with a photo ;).

“BlackLetter,” also known as Gothic script, is an Old English script that was used throughout Europe in the 12th century. I chose it for my brand name because it combined my interest in medieval Europe and the gothic aesthetic. I decided to include “Bones” as the second half of the name because nature, death, and decay are some things that have captured my attention long before I ever picked up a camera.
